DAY 1 and Day 2: Ngorongoro Crater
After our early breakfast in the morning, we will start the journey to the Ngorongoro Conservation Area home to the world’s largest Caldera, the Ngorongoro Crater. The Area is one of the 7 UNESCO World Heritage Sites located in Tanzania and here you find the co-existence of wildlife and the pastoralist Maasai society.
We will descend 600 meters into the Ngorongoro Crater which has one of the densest concentrations of wildlife, with almost every wild African animal found in the crater including some of the endangered species such as the Black Rhino, Golden Cat, and Wild Hunting Dog. You will also have a chance to see Lake Magadi, an alkaline lake swarmed with flamingos at the base of the crater. At the end of the day we will ascend from the crater and drive back to Arusha and drop you off at your accommodation or the Kilimanjaro International Airport if you are flying out on the same day.
DAY 3 to Day 5: Serengeti National Park
Early in the morning at around 6:30 AM, we will leave for Serengeti National Park where you will spend three days exploring this magnificent wonder. You will have a chance to visit the eastern-southern Serengeti, Central Serengeti (Central Seronera) and western Serengeti. As one of the seven UNESCO World Heritage sites, Serengeti National Park holds the largest lion population in the world with more than 3000 lions. This magnificent place is also home to more than 2 million herbivores, 500 hyenas, and 250 cheetahs, and the great migration passes through central Serengeti around April to May, making Serengeti a pinnacle of the African Safari experience. With more than 1000 leopards, you have an increased chance to see the solitary and difficult-to-find African Leopard in the central Serengeti region, particularly along the Seronera river banks. The Retima Himo pool hosts around 100 hippos and this is one of the best places to see the third largest land mammal in the world. At an additional cost, you can also have a chance to experience a thrilling hot air balloon gem-watching offered here. Two rivers (Grumeti and Mbalageti) pass through western Serengeti, providing a year-round source of water and green vegetation that attracts thousands of wildebeests, zebras, predators, and birds. Around the May-July period, you will have a chance to witness the great wildebeest migration and if you are lucky the crossing of the river Grumeti by wildebeests. The following morning, we will start our journey back to Arusha. If your flight is on the same day, you will be dropped off at the Kilimanjaro International Airport for your departure, otherwise taken to your pre-booked hotel to rest.
Our representative will drop you off at the airport ready for your home flight.
With a commitment to excellence and a deep love for exploration, we strive to redefine the way you travel.
